Wallflower - English Bedder Mix
The Wallflower English Bedder Blend, 'Cheiranthus cheiri', displays dense clusters of fragrant, velvety, rich colored flowers. If you have an English garden, this perennial is a must. The flowers are rich in color and very fragrant. The flowers occur in dense clusters on top of dwarf plants. The Wallflower has 1/2 inch across flowers and colored in shades of yellow, orange, brown, and rust. The Wallflower English Bedder Blend is an excellent plant for coastal and mountainous regions because of its hardiness. The Wallflower blooms in the spring about the same time as lilacs and will bloom for 4 to 8 weeks. The blooms should be deadheaded often. Plant in average garden soil and in the early spring or in early fall, and at least 2 months before the average first frost date. Grass - Blue Eyed The Grass Blue Eyed, 'Sisyrinchium bellum', is a delightful little Iris relative from the coast of California. They resemble an ornamental grass until constellations of bluish-purple star shaped flowers appear for several weeks in the spring. The Blue Eyed Grass blooms in early spring through early summer. They may rebloom in the fall. Blue Eyed Grass prefers well drained sandy soils. They are somewhat drought tolerant but they like evenly moist soil. Plant in the early spring, 2 to 4 weeks before the last average frost date or late summer/early fall.
