Viburnum - Red Feather® Arrowwood
Red Feather® Arrowwood Viburnum, viburnum dentatum 'JN Select', has a two tone new growth. The maroon and green give this shrub its name. As the new foliage ages, green veins appear on the red surfaces, giving the leaves a colorful, feather-like design. Red Feather has an outstanding, long lasting, maroon fall color, and its autumn color is consistent from year to year. White flowers appear in June, followed by blue-back berries in the fall. It prefers loamy, well-drained soil but tolerates dry conditions, sun or part shade and grows 8-10 feet tall and 10-12 feet in width. This viburnum is very easy to grow and is useful for its extreme durability in borders, screens, parking lots, and mass plantings. Viburnum tend to be multi-season plants with ornamental value throughout a large part of the season. ... details
Heavenly Bamboo New leaves are coppery to purplish-red, becoming blue green with age. Perfect and pinkish in bud, finally white 8-15” long panicles appear in May-June, and will flower in heavy shade. Spectacular, round clusters of bright red berries ripen in the fall and persist into winter. Heavenly Bamboo is more showy that most hollies because fruit is not hidden by foliage. Careful pruning, as canes do not branch out and best to thin out old stems every year or head back old canes at varying lengths to produce a dense plant. Once established, they are very tough plants, thriving in sun, shade, moist or dry conditions.
