Veronica - Goodness Grows Speedwell



The Veronica ‘Goodness Grows’, Veronica spicata, or also known as Speedwell, is an easy to grow perennial that adds beauty to any garden. ‘Goodness Grows’ is the longest blooming Veronica in its family. This upright perennial produces wonderful violet-blue flowers from June till September. With its dark glossy green foliage, it has a plant height of 12” and a spread of 12-18”. ‘Goodness Grows’ needs a full sun area with well-drained soil. Deadhead the flowers after the first bloom to prolong its bloom time. Veronica can be used as a ground cover, in mass plantings or along borders. Mountian Bluet - Bachelors Button The Centaurea ‘Bachelor's Button’, Centaurea montana, also know as Cornflower and Blue Bottle, has small thistle-like single flowers at the end of a delicate stem, being bright blue and very showy, with gray-green foliage. Centaurea ‘Bachelor's Button’ is tolerant of cool winters. This plant knows no serious insect or disease problems. Use Centaurea ‘Bachelor's Button’ massed in border fronts, cottage gardens or naturalized areas. For planting with other perennials, try ‘Illumination’ Vinca, ‘Variegated’ Sedum or Echinacea ‘Purple Coneflower’.
