Snow in Summer

The Cerastium ‘Snow in Summer’, Cerastium tomentosum, is a wonderful bright-white, star shaped flower that blooms from last spring to early summer. The silvery, mat-forming foliage looks great as a ground cover, in rock walls or between stepping-stones. It may have the tendency to spread but has no serious pests and diseases. ‘Snow in Summer’ has a plant height of 4” with a plant spread of 6-12”. This easy to grow perennial requires full sun and will grow in dry to moist soils that are well drained. One should sheer back ‘Snow in Summer’ after flowering to keep it clean and compact and to keep from spreading. For a perennial that can be planted anywhere, ‘Snow in Summer’ is the way to go. ... more info

Thyme - Golden King The Thyme 'Thymus citriodorus aureus', was believed to possess magical powers by the ancient Druids. Maybe that explains why consumers seem unable to resist these particularly choice varieties. This small bushy shrublet is characterized by the intense lemon scent of its foliage. Gold dappled leaves are the base for a summer bloom of lavender pink flowers. Similar in color and fragrance to Doone Valley but with a semi-trailing habit. Gorgeous when spilling out of primary-colored containers or window boxes.
