Mango Tango™ Potentilla, Potentilla fruticosa 'UMan' (PP12,258), has striking and unusual bicolor flowers with petals of orange-red radiating to yellow, blooming all summer long above the bright green summer foliage. The plant has a tidy form and attains a mature height and width of approximately 2 feet. It is suited to a wide range of soil types and growing conditions. Mango Tango is a slow to medium growing plant developing into a compact and dwarf shrub. Potentilla is a deciduous shrub that does best in full sun and will flower all summer if trimmed in late June or July, along with fertilizer and water. Cotoneaster - Bearberry The Cotoneaster Bearberry, 'Cotoneaster dammeri', is a dark green, evergreen shrub with glossy leaves. This rapid growing shrub prefers moist, well drained soil, but it is quite tolerant of a range of soil conditions. Small white flowers appear in the spring and some small red fruit will be produced in the fall. Bearberry is great as a ground cover and is a very easy plant to grow. The foliage will turn a dull dark green to reddish purple in winter.
