Lungwort - High Contrast

The Lungwort High Contrast, 'Pulmonaria', also known as Bethlehem Sage, is a great ground cover for any shady area, helping to lighten up parts of the garden. The green foliage is wavy, spear-shaped and speckled with silver, not to mention mildew resistant. The large pink flowers fade to blue. ‘High Contrast’ has a plant height of 18” and a spread of 18-23”. ‘High Contrast’ needs to be planted in a fully shaded area with well-drained soil. It is a wonderful contrast with hostas, under shrubs and along paths. ‘High Contrast’ is a vigorous grower and is resistant to slugs. This plant is great for a first time gardener. Peony - Lady Alexandra Duff The Peony Lady Alexandra Duff, Paeonia 'Lady Alexander Duff' is a double bloom peony with pink outer blooms and cream colored center blooms. Peonies are one of the best cut flowers and are often used in the Midwest to decorate gravesites on Memorial Day. All of our peonies are widely adaptable to most soils across the country. They bloom in mid to late spring and have very large, colorful blooms that stand out in the spring garden. Peonies can handle dry to moist sites, and do best in full sun but can handle some light shade. Often thought of as a plant used on the farm or out in the country, they bring a little bit of that country feeling to your garden.
