Larkspur - Shades of Blue



The Larkspur Shades of Blue, 'Consolida ambigua', has tall spires of light, medium, and dark blue flowers. It is considered one of the best for cut and dried flower arrangements. The 1/4 to 1/2 inch blue colored flowers are densely packed on tall stems. The Shades of Blue Larkspur blooms in mid spring to early summer. The Larkspur prefer a cool location in full sun. They like moist, rich, well drained soil that is slightly alkaline. Plant in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. Sweet Pea - In the Pink SweetPeas have 1 to 2 inch flowers that are romantically fragrant and are wonderful cut flowers in bunches. In the Pink generally bloom for 3 to 5 weeks. The In the Pink prefers deep, rich, fertile soil. Plant this sweet pea in full sun, but in a cool a spot as possible. In warm climates, plant in October through January for spring bloom.
