Larkspur - Rose
The Larkspur Rose, 'Consolida ambigua', has tall spires of rose colored flowers. It is considered one of the best for cut and dried flower arrangements. The 1/4 to 1/2 inch rose colored flowers are densely packed on tall stems. The Rose Larkspur blooms in mid spring to early summer. The Larkspur prefer a cool location in full sun. They like moist, rich, well drained soil that is slightly alkaline. Plant in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. Daisy - Gloriosa The Daisy Gloriosa Blend, 'Rudbeckia hirta 'Gloriosa', has huge 4 to 7 inch flowers. Grown as an annual, Gloriosa Daisy is technically a short-lived perennial and may come back for a second or third year. The large, wide yellow flowers have brown bands or stripes with a brown center. The Gloriosa will grow in almost any soil but it has a preference for rich, alkaline soils that are well drained. The Gloriosa Blend is excellent for wildflower planting and in beds and borders.
