Iris - Autumn Circus
The Iris Autumn Circus, Iris 'Autumn Circus' is a ruffled petal iris that has white flowers with blue purple veining and a beautiful blue ruffled edge. With a velvety texture and beautiful evergreen foliage, it has a plant height of 34” and a width of 18-24”. Autumn Circus blooms in June and then, unlike most iris, blooms again in late summer and into fall. It is an easily grown Iris. Autumn Circus prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun, but will tolerate some afternoon shade. This Iris needs plenty of water throughout the season to continue to looks its best. Autumn Circus will make a great addition around pools, ponds and water gardens, and for mass plantings. It can also be used in difficult banks and preventing erosion. Grass - Shenandoah Switch The Grass 'Shenandoah Switch Grass',Panicum virgatum 'Shenandoah', has a burgundy-red color to the foliage. This one starts out red in June, by mid-summer it looks like Bloodgrass, and in fall, it is a rich burgundy. Given full sun and average soil, it is a slow grower. The foliage starts out as deep green but takes on the red color thru the summer. The 4' height, makes this a good choice for a specimen plant. It is one of the shortest Switch Grass varieties available. This plant will grow in dry to moist soils or well-drained, loamy, sandy or clay soils with a pH of a neutral to slightly alkaline. It's attributes include naturalizing, attracting birds and suitable for cut and dried flowers.
