Hosta - Sun Power
The Hosta Sun Power, Hosta 'Sun Power', is one of the best gold hosta's there is. The large leaves are about 12 inches long by 7 inches wide and are vase shaped. Sun Power requires about 3/4 sun which causes the leaves to explode in true gold color. . . . hence the name Sun Power. The lavender flowers of this hosta appear in early summer on 3 foot stems, however hosta’s are not known for their flowers. Sun Power requires sun 3/4 of the day to bring out the best color and should be planted in any moist, well-drained spot. Coneflower - Sunrise The Coneflower Sunrise, 'Echinacea purpurea', is an easy to grow flower that produces beautiful citron yellow daisy-like flowers. The center of this coneflower starts out green and turns gold. Blooming from July to October and a major attractor to butterflies and bees and deer resistant, it is a must for any perennial gardens. With its dark green foliage, Echinacea ‘Sunrise’ stands 30-35” high with a plant spread of 18”. For best results, plant in full sun in a well drained area.
