Hosta - Blue Angel
The Hosta Blue Angel, Hosta 'Blue Angel', has huge, heart-shaped blue-grey leaves and tall stems producing cream colored flowers. The cream flowers of this fast growing hosta bloom in mid-summer, however, hosta’s are not known for their flowers. Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage and Blue Angel is no exception. Yarrow - Coronation Gold The foliage has a somewhat strong, spicy aroma, which persists when used in dried arrangements. ‘Coronation Gold’ has good texture and form and looks great in mass plantings and cottage gardens. This Yarrow does well in average garden soils, but prefers lean, dry to medium wet, well-drained soil. (Avoid heavy clays and moist, rich, fertile soils. ) Yarrow should be planted in full sun and is tolerant to hot humid summers. Remove faded flowers to encourage more growth and divide every 3-4 years.
