Geranium - Tiny Monster
The Geranium 'Tony Monster', Hybrid of G. sanguineum, is sterile so it flowers nonstop June through August. The blooms are large and are a bright magneta color. Tony Monsters originated from the nursery of Germany's famous Countess Helen Von Stein. Along with its prolific blooms it stands to reason that it is a vigorous grower. For best results, plant in a dry to moist area in a well drained site. The Geranium family is well known for its stunning fall colors that include reds, oranges, and yellows. Clematis - Alan Bloom The Clematis Alan Bloom, 'Heracleifolia 'Alan Bloom', a Blooms of Blessingham plant, has vivid spikes of fragrant dark blue flowers that rise above its dark green foliage. ‘Alan Bloom’s’ fluffy seed heads make it even more attractive. It has a plant height of 30” with a spread of 36”. It is best to avoid heavy pruning on this perennial until it is fully established. Clematis ‘Alan Bloom’ needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs. The tops of Clematis prefer full sun while their roots prefer a cool, shady area. It is best to heavily mulch the root zone to provide this cool, shady area.
