Diascia - Ice Pole
The Diascia 'Ice Pole', is an exciting color breakthrough in Twinspurs. Icy white flowers showcase this plant. Diascia derives it's Latin name from two words, 'di' meaning two and 'askos' meaning pouch, referring to the flower. Plant this gorgeous Diascia in full sun in fertile well drained soil. Keep the soil moist, but not soggy. Diascia is probably best suited to be grown in mixed containers or window boxes, although they can be grown in beds. Space plants 8" - 10" apart. They'll produce showers of flowers in spring to early summer until the daytime temperatures get really hot. Like a polar bear in a jungle, this Twinspur really stands out. ... more information
Red Dragon The Persicaria ‘Red Dragon’ is a wonderful variety in the Persicaria family. The flowers are white and bloom in June and July, but this plant is more noted for its foliage. ‘Red Dragon’ should be planted in a full sun area but can tolerate some afternoon shade. Sun will make the foliage look its best. ‘Red Dragon’ will look great in any perennial garden, in mixed container, woodland edge or near ponds and streams.
