Daisy - Cream Symphony
The Daisy Creme Symphony 'Osteospermum hybrid', joins the hands down best of the Osteospermum in the Proven Winners Symphony series. They’ll produce prolific flowers from spring right through fall. They have large creme flowers with a compact growth habit and unusual blue-violet eyes. These beauties make a unique addition to any combination. They’re heat-tolerant, so they won’t shy away from hot summer conditions and full sun. Daisy's require a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil and should be kept well watered in the summer. Daisy's may be used as a cut flower and they are excellent in window boxes, pots, and rock gardens. The daisy is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds, plus they are resistant to deer. These daisys are winter hardy to USDA Zones 10-11 and they are grown as an annual in other cooler climatic zones. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage additional bloom. Begonia - Spectrum Mandela The Begonia Spectrum Mandela, 'Begonia x hybrida', are wonderfully floriferous plants that are at home in the garden, or in patio containers. This begonia is a cross between the winter flowering Begonia socotrana, and the summer flowering tuberous types of begonias. The Spectrum Mandela begonias are distinguished by their large, double flowers that are yellow in color. These very vigorous Spectrum Begonias are excellent in porch boxes and hanging baskets. In cool or wet climates, consider growing your Spectrum begonias on a patio or in porch boxes. These plants perform best when soil temperatures are above 60°F and when planted in flowerbeds. They should not be subjected to more than ½ day of sun as they will not tolerate a full sun location. Too much shade however, may cause the plants to become soft and less prolific in bloom.
