Coreopsis - Crème Brulee
The Coreopsis ‘Crème Brulee’ is new to the market and has bright deep yellow flowers that blooms from June through October. In the Tickseed family, ‘Crème Brulee’ has larger flowers than most Coreopsis in its family. ‘Crème Brulees’ have a plant height of 24” and a spread of 18”. The bright green thread leaf foliage makes a great contrast with the flower color. ‘Crème Brulee’ should be planted in full sun. It is drought-tolerant and tough but does need well-drained soil. The foliage is mildew-resistant and should be cut backing early and late summer to extend the bloom period. Coreopsis ‘Crème Brulee’ looks great with any type of grass, in borders or mass plantings in sunny gardens. (PPAF). ... additional info
Dianthus - Fancy Knickers The Dianthus 'Fancy Knickers', Dianthus Hybrid, has elegant white flowers with just a touch of red in the center. Their very compact habit and free blooming nature make the 'Fancy Knickers' Dianthus a stand out both in container gardens and perennial borders. Dianthus will bloom from mid summer to early fall. In order for a longer bloom time, deadhead the blooms continuously throughout the summer. Dianthus needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon and humidity. These fragrant, spicy dove like flowers look wonderful as a border plant, rock gardens, along walks or paths and for edgeing - a very pretty plant.
