The Columbine Cardinal, 'Aquilegia ‘Cardinal', a Columbine in the Songbird series, is a beautiful, easy to grow spring blooming perennial. The green foliage adds texture and color in the fall to any of your perennial beds. The exquisite 3” wide petals are long-spurred, large, red and white bicolor. With a height of 24-28” and a plant spread of 14-16”, you won’t want to miss this. Aquilegia ‘Cardinal’ was honored with the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society in 2003. . ‘Cardinal’ should be planted in full sun to partial shade in fertile, moist well-drained soil.   Columbine is a profuse self-seeder so it should be planted 16” apart. Lungwort - Raspberry Splash The foliage is fuzzy and dark green, speckled with silver with raspberry blooms in May. ‘Raspberry Splash’ has a plant height of 12” and a spread of 18-23”. It is a wonderful contrast with hostas, under shrubs and along paths. ‘Raspberry Splash’ is a vigorous grower and resistant to slugs and great for a first time gardener.
