The Celosia Pampas Plume, 'Celosia argentea plumosa', has dramatic masses of soft, feathery plumes that are stunning in fresh and dried flower arrangements. The upright plumes are 6 to 12 inches tall with flowers the colors of scarlet, rose, carmine, gold, cream and bronze. The Celosia argentea are widely cultivated as a bedding annual. Pamps Plume prefers fertile, well drained soil that is high in organic matter. The soil needs to be kept evenly moist. Place these plants in full sun for best results.
