Celosia - Fresh Look Yellow
The Celosia Fresh Look Yellow, 'Celosia plumosa', also known as Cockscomb, is one of the most colorful foliage plants for beds, borders, pots, planters and window boxes and they provide a fresh floral look all summer long. The Fresh Look Yellow was 2004 All American Award Winner. Celosia Fresh Look Yellow is another celosia, and a wonderful partner to Fresh Look Red. Celosia Fresh Look Yellow is bit stouter than its companion and it also covers itself in plumes throughout the summer, offering numerous side-shoots that blankets the plant in pure yellow. It, too, is self-grooming and tolerates a wide range of conditions. When grown in the full sun, 'Fresh Look Yellow plants mature at 12 to 18 inches tall and spreads 12 to 20 inches. The central plume can be 8 to 10 inches tall and 5 inches wide. Like all Celosia plumosa, the flowers can be cut and dried for long lasting homemade bouquets.
