Catmint - Walkers Low



The Nepeta ‘Walkers Low’, Nepeta faassenii, also known as Catmint, has a low mounding gray-green foliage with deep lavender-blue flowers and is one of the most vividly colored in its family. Blooming from June to September, it has a plant height of 10” and a plant spread of 18-24”. Cutting back ‘Walkers Low’ hard after its first bloom will extend its blooming time. ‘Walkers Low’ should be planted in full sun, but can tolerate afternoon shade. It is very drought tolerant but does need a well-drained area. ‘Walkers Low’ makes an excellent border plant, great in rock gardens, good for naturalizing and in an attractive addition to ornamental herb garden. Mullein - Jackie Removing spent flowers to encourage additional bloom time. This low maintenance perennial requires dry to medium soil and should be planted in full sun for best results. ‘Jackie’ can be planted in rocky slopes to add color, as a border plant or in cottage gardens.
