The Carrot Asian New Kurodo, 'Daucus carota var staivus', is popular in the Orient. The New Kurodo is one of the sweetest carrots you will ever eat. Late planting your garden? Kurodo is quite heat resistant, so don't hesitate to plant in the late spring when you might be nervous about planting other carrots. New Kurodo has smooth, tapered roots that are 8 inches long with 2 inch shoulders. The color is a very attractive deep orange/red.
