Barberry - Emerald Carousel®

Emerald Carousel® Barberry, Berberis 'Tara', is a shrub that has showy clusters of yellow flowers in spring along its arching branches. These blooms produce bright red berries that will persist into the winter. The dark green foliage turns an outstanding red-purple in fall. It is easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soil in full sun. Tolerates light shade, but Emerald Carousel® Barberry needs full sun to develop best foliage color. This very adaptable shrub is tolerant of many pollutants in urban areas and tolerates drought, but will not perform well in poorly drained, wet soils. It has no serious insect or disease problems. Use as a hedge, barrier plant, foundation plant, shrub border or small groupings in the landscape. ... additional info
